compare and contrast your ePortfolios

Peer-Graded Assignment: Compare & Reflect on Your ePortfolio

Part 1 — Comparison Table

ePortfolio Items Similar Different

Headline Both headlines clearly introduce the professional identity. The professional ePortfolio uses a more concise, branded headline; mine is more descriptive and longer.

Summary of Capabilities Both summaries highlight skills, experience, and the value offered. The other ePortfolio uses stronger action-driven language and focuses more on measurable achievements.

Captions of Work Samples Both provide brief descriptions underneath the work samples. Their captions are more polished, using consistent formatting and more specific details about each project.

Descriptions of Work Samples Both explain the purpose and process behind each work item. The professional version uses storytelling and emphasizes impact; mine focuses more on tasks and steps.

Resume Both include a resume section or a downloadable file. The other ePortfolio uses a visually cleaner layout and integrates the resume highlights into the webpage.

Part 2 — Reflection (4–5 Sentences)

After reviewing several professional ePortfolios, I realized that mine can be improved by making the headline more concise and brand-focused. I also noticed that my work sample descriptions could be strengthened by emphasizing impact rather than simply listing tasks. The comparisons showed that consistent formatting and clearer captions make an ePortfolio look more polished. Moving forward, I plan to revise the language in my summary to highlight achievements more effectively and update the visual layout to create a more professional feel. Overall, this review helped me see how small refinements can significantly improve the overall presentation of my ePortfolio.
